Camp Services and Supplies

Potable Water:

Water supplied at all taps in the camp is from the local municipal water supply, and is safe to use for drinking, washing and cooking.  Water from other sources including surface water and streams is UNSAFE.

Food and Cooking:

All groups using Camp Byng supply their own food and cooks - we do not provide any catering services at Camp Byng. At least one of your cooks must have FoodSafe Level 1 Certification.

Cleaning Supplies for Lodges:

• We supply:
• Toilet paper, hand soap, paper hand towels and hand sanitizers for the lodge and KYBO washrooms.
• Hand soap, paper hand towels and hand sanitizers for other lodge sinks.
• Hand sanitizers in other lodge areas.
• Garbage bags for all garbage containers in the lodges and KYBOs.
• Cleaner/disinfectant for washroom fixtures and counters.
• Cleaner/degreaser for kitchen counters and sinks, and tables.
• Sanitizer for kitchen counters and sinks, and tables.
• Cleaning solution for mopping the floors.
• Detergent for the dishwasher.
  
  
• You are responsible for providing:
• Rubber gloves.
• Cleaning cloths (e.g. j-cloths, dish cloths, tea towels).
• Dish soap and bleach for washing cooking pots/utensils, and for washing personal dishes if using the outside sinks.
• Pot / pan cleaners (scrubbies, scouring pads, etc.).
• Oven mitts / pot holders.
• Similar kitchen supplies.

Cleaning Supplies for Meadows:

• We supply:
• Toilet paper, hand soap, paper hand towels and hand sanitizers for the KYBO at East Meadow and the toilet at Lower Meadow.
• Hand soap, paper hand towels and hand sanitizers for the sink at Lower Meadow.
• Hand sanitizers in all outhouses.
• Garbage bags for garbage containers in the KYBO at East Meadow and the toilet at Lower Meadow.
• Cleaner/disinfectant for washroom and outhouse fixtures and counters.
• Cleaner/degreaser for kitchen counters and sinks, and tables.
• Sanitizer for kitchen counters and sinks, and tables.
