Program Activities Stations

Reserving Common Areas and Program Activities:

Camp Byng has several common areas that can be reserved prior to camp.   They include the Retallack Spiritual Center, and the Sunset Rock Campfire Circle.

Camp Byng is in the process of developing a number of program activity stations around the camp.  These include:

• An improved archery program complete with training, certification, site safety, equipment, supplies, and signage.
• An extensive low challenge course.
• Pioneering Poles located in several places.
• Disc Golf.
• Several Geocaches located on the camp property.
• Compass and Orienteering Courses.
• Parachute Games and supporting resources.
• Tug-O-War ropes for each lodge.
• A Transverse Climbing Wall.
• The Nature Trail updated with resources for Cub and Scout badge requirements.
• A Marine Walk on the beach and adjacent forest with resources for Cub and Scout badge requirements.
• Patrol Challenge activities with appropriate resources.

Once installed, some of these activity stations will be able to be reserved for specific time periods.

Some of the activity stations will have a fee for use.  This will allow for cost of maintenance and replacement parts as needed.
